Getting To Your Stag Do Destination
Possibly the most important thing to consider when booking a UK stag do during the Coronavirus, and inevitably it’s always the first question on everyone’s lips, is where are we going?
Choosing the right UK stag do destination can make or break a stag do Weekend. Nobody wants to have to travel for countless hours to get there, so the first thing to check should be transport access.
Anywhere that is on a train-line is always a good bet. Trains are a very comfortable way to travel and are a great way to get the party started over a few beers. Plus, there’s no fear of being over the limit for the drive home!
COVID19 has caused a lot of disruption to transport with a lot of bus and train timetables operating on reduced schedules, so make sure to check the times first!

Will Venues Be Open And Allowing Stag Parties?
Step 3 of the UK Government’s Recovery Strategy is that this step will be no earlier than 4 July and it states:
‘The ambition at this step is to open at least some of the remaining businesses and premises that have been required to close… hospitality (such as food service providers, pubs and accommodation)… and leisure facilities (like cinemas). They should also meet the COVID-19 Secure guidelines.’
While this is good news and gives us all a bit of clarity, the big challenge for stag do suppliers is how to open in a manner that can operate safely within the guidelines. Here at The Stag’s Balls, we are in constant communication with our suppliers and know they are all working hard behind the scenes so that a UK stag do during the Coronavirus can return sooner rather than later.
When Should I Book The Stag Do?
With the vast majority of people confined to their homes and gardens (if they’re lucky!), they will be itching to get out and about once restrictions are eased.
Obviously, the stag do is dependent on when the Wedding takes place. If you’re one of the lucky ones that has managed to postpone the Big Day until later in 2021, then our advice is to book now!
A lot of places have already started to fill up quickly once everyone can return to everyday life. Alternatively, if the Big Day has been postponed until 2022, then it’s no harm to get in early and book your stag do now too. We know from speaking to our customers that wedding space is filling up quickly for 2021 and as a wise man once said – ‘never put off until tomorrow what you can do today’.
What Stag Do Friendly Activities Should I Book?
If you have concerns about what activities to book for a UK stag do during the Coronavirus, our advice would be to first look at the ones that can take place outdoors and involve little to no contact.
Paintball or Clay Pigeon Shooting both go down well with stag do groups and help with social distancing because they are generally held outdoors where the Coronavirus is more difficult to spread. This is of course unless you all decide to hold hands or play kiss chasing, which we don’t advise in the current climate…
